Every semester, Phi Chi Theta hosts a variety of external events that bring in professionals to discuss opportunities at their firms. Our chapter continues to grow and improve on these professional events every year by hosting new events and bringing companies that have previously not been actively present on the New York University campus. These external events are designed to benefit the NYU community as a whole by giving all students an opportunity to explore their interests and passions.
Phi Chi Theta highly values professionalism as a core values and one of our three pillars.
Examples of professional events that we have sponsored in the past include:
- External Company Visits
- Recruiter Coffee Chats
- Alumni and Professional Panel Events
WOMEN'S CORPORATE MINGLE
Held during the Fall semester, Women's Corporate Mingle (WCM) is Phi Chi Theta's largest and most popular event. We bring in speakers and panelists from various different industries to discuss key topics and issues facing women in business.
Each member of our fraternity experiences a rigorous 10-week pledging process that prepares them with valuable skills for the professional world. After crossing, members continue to have the opportunity to develop themselves professionally through internal workshops and critiques.
Examples of our internal professional development workshops include:
- Mock Interviews
- Resume Critique
- Cover Letter Reviews
- LinkedIn Tutorials
- Case Study Preparation
- Presentation and Public Speaking Tips
- Technical Skills: Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint
- Mentorship Programs (National & Alumni)
